John Frieda Frizz Ease Corrective Shampoo and Shiner

I bought this sample bottle of shampoo in a kit with the conditioner and serum. I know this product is available in most discount and drug stores ranging in price beginning around $5.00.

This product claims to defrizz and shine frizzy, permed or color-treated hair. I used this product for 1 week and was very disappointed in it. It didn't leave my hair feeling very smooth and hardly lathered up at all. And if I didn't use a conditioner or detangler on my hair, I could barely get a wide toothed comb through it. It did nothing to help defrizz my hair or keep my curls under control at all.

If you have curly or chemically treated hair, I would not recommend this product at all. There are better store brands at the same and lesser cost that work much better!

However, if you want a shampoo to clean your hair and has a nice smell, it's alright for that, but not much else. That is the only reason I am not rating this product a 1.

John Frieda Frizz Ease Glistening Creme Conditioner

I got the conditioner in the same sample pack as the shampoo. Again, the cost would be around $5.00 at a local discount or drug store.

This product claims it gives a sparkling shine and a smoother, healthier- looking surface. This product did absolutely nothing for my hair! I used this product for about a week in combination with the shampoo and my hair did not feel as if a conditioner or a detanger had been used at all. It was still difficult to comb or pick through my hair. And I have thick hair that is fine. I could see no difference using the conditioner as opposed to just shampooing. I would not recommend this product to anyone! While it didn't damage, my hair, I could see no benefit in using it.

John Frieda Frizz Ease Serum

I had originally gotten a sample of this product along with the shampoo and conditioner. After the bad luck I had with both of those products, I was a little skeptical of this one. But I had heard so many good things about it, that I decided to give it a try. I am so glad that I did!

I have thick, fine, curly hair and like to blow it straight occasionally for a different look! However, I as having problems finding a product that made my hair lay smooth and didn't look like wool. This product did it! I have tried many of the salon products and got ok results from them. But this product is sold in any drug or discount store for about $8.00 for a bottle and worked much better than any of the salon products I have tried so far.

It is applied to wet hair and then you style and shape as you wish. It helps to define the curls if you want a curly look, or helps them to lay smooth if you want a straight look. You can also apply a little bit after you dry your hair to finish your look. I used a little more product than was recommended on the instructions though.

I was very pleased with this product as it didn't weigh my hair down or make it appear greasy. It doesn't have a strong smell of any sorts which is an added bonus Many straightening products that I have found have a strong chemical smell to them. Or they are very floral. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for something to control frizzy hair!!!
