Hi there! I am Stevie. I am reviewing some color cosmetics from MAX FACTOR. MAX FACTOR , despite being a lower price point, has really nice quality products. I got to try several items from the MAX FACTOR line including the Lasting Performance Foundation.

Lasting Performance Foundation is a simple one step foundation that goes from liquid to powder finish. One of the benefits of this kind of foundation is that it saves time. This foundation does not set up quickly so that you have time to smooth out the foundation across your face and blend before it becomes set. It is easy to apply and is not blotchy. It is smooth and silky with nice slip to it, so that it slides easily across your face. I was sent a range of colors to test and found that I could mix two colors together to get a more suitable match. The colors that MAX FACTOR carries are primarily for the pink and neutral toned skin, but they do have some shades suitable for the yellow toned gals among us. I am more yellow and found that the TOASTED ALMOND was too dark and the RICH BEIGE was too light. I actually found the color between—COOL BRONZE and mix that with the RICH BEIGE. While it is not as close a match as I would like, it does blend out well and is fairly sheer so that you don’t have to worry about it being too far off the color mark. Especially when you look at the price point of around $10, who can complain?? This is a nice foundation; the powder finish is terrific and a bit matte for the oily or combo skin which is a plus for them. Also it does last all day. I used it while I had a massage and it was terrific: not a smudge or a blotch on my entire face! So this is a winner. The only reason it does not get the full 5 star rating is the limited color range. If Max Factor could make this with more yellow toned shades and give a broader color spectrum, it would be a true winner and one that I would use all the time—really!

I had a chance to try two of the four new shadow collections from MAX FACTOR and I loved them both. Both are rather neutral in tone so that they a re extremely wearable by anyone –day or night. The NATURELLE collection #425 is a collection of brown tones. Brun is the deepest brown. Crème is a soft yellowed cream color. Twig is a soft beigey light brown and Suede is a medium rich brown. Very nice, very neutral and very natural. The shadows blend easily and wear very well. You can use them sheerly or apply them for more depth of color. Since this is a more neutral collection it combines well with other shadows so that it is very versatile and economical to use. The other collection #412 is the RAISIN collection. It is lovely soft burgundies. The Raisin is a soft burgundy brown, not too deep for everyday use and it is lovely on . Anyone could wear this color. Pink blush is a soft pink with a bit more pink to it than baby pink. Soft Taupe is a medium taupe color and a perfect neutral. Cinnamon is a deeper pink with a hint of brown to it so that it blends so well with all of the other colors. Combined between the two sets, I found that I could wear more than 14 different combinations that all worked nicely for day or night. I would try using a couple of the deeper colors wet for a smudgier look and greater depth of color for night. Rather interesting twist to this shadow, I think.

While you can use their shadows wet as liner, MAX FACTOR also has PENSILKS liners. Liner pens that have a silky texture that you just twist up and line your eyes with a soft smudgeable color in a snap. There are four colors, all worked well for me> Sable is a deep brown and almost black. Soft Charcoal is a deep charcoal grey, almost black in tone. Silken taupe is a lighter mushroom-y taupe brown color. Plum suede is a browned plum that is lovely with the Raisin collection. Love these slim sticks. I found that they could double as shadow as well, but you would use them up quickly that way but it does work quite nicely as a crease color. I like to play with my cosmetics and try using them different ways so that you get the most bang for your buck. I would give it five stars if there was more of it to use as shadow rather than such a tiny little stick.

MAX FACTOR is known for the polish and how long it lasts; the new colors associated with the Titanic collection are no different. They are the same diamond hard finish and they last! The colors coordinate with the lipsticks from the movie as well. EXHILARATION is a brown caramel color with a shimmer and very pretty. INDEPENDENT is a deeper, more mauve toned brown than the previous color. It is more shimmery to me than the other and the most wearable of the three that I received. REBELLIOUS is the most trendy color and it is almost chocolate brown with a high luster and shine. If you like brown lipsticks and polishes—get this color. It is gorgeous. Wish they came out more colors from the movie though!

The last thing I have to review from MAX FACTOR is the TITANIC lip collection. I got to try every single shade from that collection. So cool!!!!! It runs the range of all the hot beiges to slightly brown tones that are really today’s hottest colors. EXHILARATED is a soft gold beige color. Really neutral and extremely versatile for using alone or mixing with other colors. PASSIONATE is a neutral peachy color with strong beige cast. This would be perfect for spring and fall. It is soft and tempered with a bit of that beige so that it is not too orange. LIBERATED is a real bronze color. This is a wonderful color that is quite lovely by itself or slicked over another color to change it a bit. It is not too brown or too dark but a softer muted color. HEARTBROKEN is a silvered beige that is just so soft and lovely. Very neutral and would look wonderful blended with another color to really give it a titanic twist. Blondes and fair-skinned ladies will love this color. It is so shimmery . INDEPENDENT is a browned mauve with a medium tone to it and it is so pretty for a neutral color. The lip color REBELLIOUS is the color used in the print ads by MAX FACTOR and it is wonderful. It is not terribly dark like you think it would be and is the most universally flattering color amongst the group of lip colors. It is a real mauve y with a plum brown tone –really the pinkest tone of the bunch and lovely on almost everyone I have seen it on. They all last really well without being drying or a long last performance lipstick. I would use a lip brush to make sure that the application is really precise for the colors. They are soft and romantic yet very today with the brown tones and can be worn by almost everyone. The only color not covered in this collection is red.
